Money talks.

Never say never as they say lol

I really don't know.

AEW hasn't been shy about giving big contracts. So, why would they be reluctant to give Cody of all people a big deal? Why would WWE get into a bidding war for him?  And why would he be worth more to WWE than AEW?

Sounds like there's more to it to me. I just don't see WWE wanting him that much worse than AEW, and I don't see Cody being featured more prominently in WWE.

Edit: Unless Cody is going to be at elimination chamber... that Saudi payday can really tip the scales.

The recent reports state that AEW couldnt come in terms with Cody's asking price (which he is probably trying to match CM Punk and Bryan Danielson's contract)

And that WWE has been in talks with him since the end of last year (when his contract ended).

He's probably bleeding for money probably from a lot of terrible monetary decisions he made.

Besides he's always seemed like a WWE guy (as in someone who would return to WWE even if they left). Jericho will likely follow in the future.

He's a mid carder in AEW - and I think a mid carder especially with his leverage as a "Pillar of AEW" , EVP, etc could ask for a higher end contract.

Right, but is WWE going to give him the same money AEW is giving Punk or Bryan? I'm still not getting why he would be more valuable to WWE than AEW.
