Leynos said: Nothing that interests me personally. Just seems more quantity than quality. Not taking away from those who enjoy these. Said it before and believe it. Nintendo still has the better talent and will continue to have higher quality output. Sony I feel has been iffy for some time. A lot of the same kinda stuff to where even with a different name and studio a lot of their games look like the same game. MS at least looks more varied than Sony. |
There is definitely quality in there...
Blizzard is probably my favorite developer of all time... Mostly that has been thanks to their historic focus and support of the PC with gems like WarCraft, StarCraft: Brood Wars and Diablo 2 being amazing games in their own right that set genre trends... Ironically, decades after these games released, you can still play them online via Battle.net... I bet you can't say that about allot of exclusive games that released in the last 15 years, let alone 25 years on console.
Bethesda always made great open world games, Morrowind was absolutely the ducks nuts before Oblivion or Skyrim was cool.
Doom and Quake set examples on FPS shooters that the industry followed at several points in history.
Halo defined console shooters.
Gears defined 3rd person shooters.
Forza leads the industry in racing.
That doesn't discount that Nintendo makes some amazing games, Links Awakening and Metroid Dread are my favorite Switch titles... And Mario Kart 8, Breath of the Wild were my favorite Wii U titles.
Every platform has amazing games, it's whether those games are pertinent to your own individualistic tastes, personally I don't let myself be limited by a brand name... That's silly and you miss out on great experiences.
