I think this a little more than a mere reaction.
This comes off as near astronomical, since it's not only Activision and it's IP's, but also Blizzard's. This means MS has CoD/WoW under it's belt, as well as the insane money maker that is Candy Crush (which already makes more money than either WoW & CoD combined).
As much as I hate Bobby and Acti, I'm really starting to not like this direction where only a few corps exist and they'll have everything under lock and key. This is just insane to watch happen.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
