My Favorite game of all time. The game I have sunk thousands of hours into. I have dropped new games I've spent money on to play this game instead. There has not been a year that has gone by since my first playthrough where I have not played it extensively. It is my most played game on steam and my most played on any platform. What's so great about Skyrim anyway? Well just simply the fact that you get to create a character and go off and make your own adventure. Just leave the starting area and run in any direction. Yes, other rpg's do this but Skyrim doesn't require you complete a dozen or so tasks before you can do what you actually want.
You can join different guilds, you can buy or build property, and get married and adopt children you can hunt vampires and werewolves or become like them you can explore caves and crypts or just read a book. You can be a mage, an assassin, a warrior an archer or just make something unique up. If you get bored of those you can switch things up easily.
Even after hundreds of hours in Skyrim you will still be making new discoveries and having adventures. And if you do somehow run out of things to do you can install mods. Add entire new questlines, give the game a new look, explore new lands or even add new game mechanics. Seriously the things the modding community has pulled off with this game are insane.
While I am still enjoying Skyrim I can't wait to get my hands on The Elder Scrolls 6. I just gotta say after all this time we spent waiting it better be a damn good game.
