Jizz Beards year end selection of PC components

I am going to post the "best" product that I think belong in various categories for this year. As this is my opinion, you can disagree of course.

GPUs:
Best overall GPU company: Nvidia
Best overall GPU highend: 3080
Worst overall GPU highend: 3070 Ti
Best overall GPU mid-ranged: 3060 Ti
Worst overall GPU mid-ranged: 6600XT

CPUs:
Best CPU for gaming: 12900k
Best CPU for workstation: 5950x
Best value CPU: 11400
Best mid-ranged CPU: 12600k

Best third party component manufacturer: Asus
Worst third party component manufacturer: Gigabyte

Best high end computer case: Fractal Design Torrent
Best budget computer case: Corsair 4000d Airflow

Best SSD: Western Digital SN850 - Runner Up: Samsung 980 Pro
Worst SSD: I would say XPG but many companies are starting to have a trend of replacing components of existing SSDs that cause them to be slower.

Best computer fan: Noctua NF-A12x25

Best 32 inch 4k monitor: Asus PG32UQ
Best 32 inch 4k monitor for it's price: Gigabyte M32U
**HDMI 2.1 has a bandwidth limitation unless you have DSC capable device**
Best value 4k monitor: Gigabyte M28U
**HDMI 2.1 has a bandwidth limitation unless you have DSC capable device**

Best PC game: Guardians of the Galaxy **I wouldn't play it if you have an Ultrawide monitor**
Worst PC game: Grand Theft Auto Trilogy

Overall it's been an interesting year but next year is gonna be one heck of a year! We are starting off with Nvidia's GPU refresh, AMD's GPU and CPU refresh and of course, Intel finally showing off their GPUs. We also have God of War and Uncharted coming along in January and Elden Ring in February. Mid next year, we will have Zen 4 and Raptor lake to look forward to as well as LG's 42 inch OLED and a line up for Mini-LED monitors. And of course, PCI-E 5.0 SSDs. And to close out the year, we will have Lovelace vs RDNA 3. Whether or not we can buy anything remains to be scene, heck whether or not any of those components will have reasonable prices remains to be seen. But least on paper, it will be one hell of a year.
