I mean, we're already paying a premium for water from select brands, which I've always thought of as complete bs, then you've got US hospitals paying more than the EU (healthcare for certain injuries/treatment is free in some parts of the world, as it should be), top it off with the increase os snack foods in the UK, despite said snack foods containing less than their OG product value from the 80's.
My folks thought I was cray for noticing these sorts of changes over time, but we really do be heading toward that dystopian future of mega corps just charging more for less, and turning what was once expected into a sub fee.
Not much we can do about it until the masses really wake up to it though, but I guess since we've gotten this far, the corps will continue getting away with most of it, because they love playing cat & mouse with consumer tolerance (Activision's favourite pastime, and now SE's).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
