Ah I never actually looked at dbrand stuff lol. But yeah I'm sure Chinese plates will happen eventually and there will be nothing Sony can do about that.

Fwiw you can already get them from Chinese wholesalers from websites like Aliexpress for around $20. The quality is nowhere close to the originals though and its not something I would put on my console. There are comparisons on Youtube and they show the plastics used are vastly inferior quality with mould lines/unevenness throughout. The DBrand ones were at least decent quality.

In any case $55 is not that much for an official accessory tbph for something purely cosmetic.
