#27: Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle
A very unexpected cross over. Incredible game, full of character and charm, vibrant colors and beautiful environments. There's so much to see and find everywhere with rabbids doing dumb shit all around you. The four areas have distinctly different themes with accordingly different enemy types.
The rabbids are hilarious. The playable ones are exaggerated version of their non rabbid counterparts. Except for Rabbid Yoshi, he's just insane. And he's the best. His facial expressions alone make me loose it.
The enemies and bosses have unique and highly creative designs. The bosses in particular all stand out in their own way. Especially memorable there is Phantom who loves singing and constantly roasts Mario.
Bwario and Bwaluigi are a welcome surprise.
Rabbid Kong goes 'Bananas'!
The best looking and also hardest to fight boss is obviously the last one.
MEGADRAGONBOWSER! THE ULTIMATE BOSS! A beautifully long name with a very fitting tagline. He looks mega cool too and the fight is punishing and hard.
The soundtrack is phenominal, absolutely outstanding. Great that the composer is returning for the sequel.
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle was clearly made with alot of passion, love and care, something that most Ubisoft games nowadays lack. The game is filled to the brim with wildly creative ideas. It feels so fresh, original and charming. Even if the gameplay isn't the deepest it's still an experience unlike any other.
Truly remarkable fantastic game. My favorite Ubisoft game.
