So I ordered a 4k 144hz monitor from Asus. It's the PG32UQ.

https://rog.asus.com/monitors/32-to-34-inches/rog-swift-pg32uq-model/

The main reason I ordered one was cause my current monitor seems to be having issues turning on at times and the fan is making some noises at random times. It does go away but it is certainly showing signs of wanting to commit seppuku. So instead of waiting for the fap worthy mini-LED/OLED monitors that will be coming out next year, I jumped the gun. I will still probably be buying a mini-LED or OLED monitors that will be coming out sometime next year though as a secondary monitor.

Now the reason why I went with this monitor over others is that while the IPS response times is a tad slower than some of the faster 4k 144hz monitors on the market, the difference isn't that big. However the color coverage is significantly better with the pg32uq. On top of that, it has full bandwidth HDMI 2.1 for the consoles. So overall I am pretty excited!

Grats Yuri. Solid pick up right there. 155hz at 4K sounds pretty darn nice to have!

If you want a decent calibrator I recommend the X-Rite i1 Display Series. I've used the Pro model on a couple of monitors and it works really well. Think there's a Pro Plus and Studio out now. It is quite pricey though, so might be worth looking out to see if you can rent a loaner unit from a camera shop/online or something.

Thanks. I forgot this one overclocks to 155hz although I doubt I will need that anytime soon as even a 4090 will have a hard time driving 4k at those kinds of frame rates. Still I do like having the benefits of consoles being able to scale properly with a 16x9 screen.

I might look that up if the color feels too off. I don't do any work that requires color accuracy per say but it's also easy to tell when something looks very off so I shall see. Hopefully I get a good panel.
