Just watched the highlights of the game. Really strange that Rivera didn't go for a field goal at the end of the game to make it a two-score-game. With only two minutes left to play it doesn't make that much of a difference whether you are up 11 or 15 points, it's miracle territory for the other team either way. Yesterday I was pondering if I shouldn't change my pick to the Seahawks, but then I remembered Carroll's statement about how it has become a mystery for Seattle to score. Indeed, the Seahawks played again like that against the Football Team. The crazy thing is that the 3-8 Seahawks still have the run-the-table scenario available to them, because they are only 2.5 games behind the seventh seed in the NFC right now. A 9-8 record will most likely be good enough this year. But realistically, the Seahawks stand no chance and are in a shape where they'll have to rebuild next year, perhaps with a new head coach. |
Washington's kicker got injured, which is why they had to go for 2pt conversions and 4th downs. Also seems like they rushed Wilson back too early from his broken finger.
