I was so confused by the critic phrases that were displayed in that 12 Sentinels Switch trailer, phrases like "the award winning unparalleled Sci-Fi epic".
It looks like an indie title to me, even though it's from Atlus and looks to be more VN based, which doesn't scream "unparalleled Sci-Fi epic", and makes it come off as selectively overhyped. I used to be into my VN's like Clannad, but I never once thought of any VN I've read or interacted with as something I'd want hooked into my veins.
Had to look it up before hitting post and found it is a "side scrolling adventure with Real time Strategy". Good job marketing dept, that Switch trailer absolutely told me all of that, totally didn't waste the entire trailer showing off cutscenes, characters talking and a load of music booming in my eardrums.
