Monday news, the very long part two:

https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/warframes-biggest-cinematic-expansion-ever-is-coming-in-december/
Warframe: The New War was finally revealed in July at TennoCon 2021, but unfortunately the big unveiling came without any sort of release target. Now we have one, and it's actually pretty close: Developer Digital Extremes announced today that the big expansion (which was actually first teased at TennoCon 2018) is set to finally arrive in December.

New stealth game Undetected is a Mexican Metal Gear Solid
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/new-stealth-game-undetected-is-a-mexican-metal-gear-solid/
Stealth games: they don't make 'em like they used to. That's a trend developer Antonio Freyre hopes to buck with the newly-announced Undetected, a sneaky throwback inspired by seminal 1998 sneak-'em-up Metal Gear Solid.

Battlefield 2042 players are demanding a traditional scoreboard
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/battlefield-2042-players-are-demanding-a-traditional-scoreboard/
Battlefield 2042 has only just launched for those who buy into the game early (you can read out review-in-progress here), and players already have a wishlist of changes for DICE to implement. Chief among them, judging by BF2042's official subreddit, is a traditional in-game scoreboard.
>> Will they also want a fix for the hovercrafts that can climb buildings walls?

Battlefield 2042 skin referencing the Russo-Ukrainian War will be renamed
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/battlefield-2042-skin-referencing-the-russo-ukrainian-war-will-be-renamed/
Electronic Arts says it will change the name of an epic-tier skin for Battlefield 2042 specialist Pyotr "Boris" Gukovsky because it "unintentionally references a real world issue, and isn't reflective of our team's values." EA didn't say which skin is being renamed in the announcement, but confirmed in a later reply tweet that it will be the "Little Green Man" skin.

The follow-up to horror adventure Maid of Sker is a co-op shooter, for some reason
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/the-follow-up-to-horror-adventure-maid-of-sker-is-a-co-op-shooter-for-some-reason/
Maid of Sker is an extremely British horror game that sounds a lot like a Frictional outing: It's set in 1898, and tells the tale of "a family empire driven by torture, slavery, piracy and a supernatural mystery." It's based on Welsh folklore, and is set in a real-life historical building in Wales known as Sker House. And it's apparently pretty good: It has a 69/100 aggregate score on Metacritic and a "very positive" user review rating on Steam.
To build on that success, developer Wales Interactive announced a followup today called Sker Ritual. But it's not a horror game—for some reason, it's a "co-op survival FPS."

Battlefield 2042 players are joining XP farming servers only to discover that they're the crops
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/battlefield-2042-players-are-joining-xp-farming-servers-only-to-discover-that-theyre-the-crops/
Battlefield Portal is a tool for creating, hosting, and discovering custom game modes in Battlefield 2042. You can make silly stuff, like 1v64 or knives-only modes, or complex deathmatch variants, or classic Battlefield throwbacks—or you can do what everyone who's currently hogging all the Portal server capacity is doing and make XP farming modes.
Update: DICE temporarily disabled XP in custom Battlefield Portal servers before the weekend, so the XP farms have mostly disappeared for now. (I did see one still going, even though no one's getting any XP from it.)

Free Baba Is You update doubles size of game, adds cross-platform level editor
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/free-baba-is-you-update-doubles-size-of-game-adds-cross-platform-level-editor/
Hempuli Oy has released a sweet update to Baba Is You, the brilliant puzzle game that took us all by surprise in 2019. It's not just the cross-platform level editor that was promised in the past, but a full-on expansion sized load of stuff with it. There are 150 new puzzles, 100 puzzles that showcase unused designs and cut content, and new objects, art, music, etc. It's a lot of extremely exciting stuff if you, like me, want more Baba Is You. It's also free, on top of a game you probably paid no more than $15 US for.

Back 4 Blood is too hard, and Turtle Rock is still finding the right balance
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/back-4-blood-is-too-hard-and-turtle-rock-is-still-finding-the-right-balance/
Back 4 Blood is an "exceptional" zombie co-op zombie shooter, but its difficulty is a bit unbalanced. Some will strenuously deny it, but certain encounters in the game are dramatically tougher than those on either side, and that's not to mention the Corruption Cards that can bank up throughout a run, gradually turning a tense zombie blaster into a test of endurance.

https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/terraria-and-dont-starve-together-will-cross-over-this-month/
Last month, a news post from the developers of Minecraft-esque 2D crafting game Terraria included a surprise gif of Terraria boss the Eye of Cthulhu appearing in Tim Burton-esque multiplayer survival game Don't Starve Together. Then Klei, developers of the Don't Starve games, tweeted a gif of their boss monster the Deerclops appearing in Terraria, before confirming that, yes, a crossover was on the way.

Some steering wheels still don't work in Forza Horizon 5, fix due later this week
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/some-steering-wheels-still-dont-work-in-forza-horizon-5-fix-due-later-this-week/
Forza Horizon 5 sped off from the grid with very positive reviews, with ours reckoning it's the best the series has ever been. One cloud in the Mexican skies, however, is that the game launched on PC and immediately ran into issues with steering wheel support—players trying to use their peripherals were cursed to endless 'wheel disconnected' warnings while trying to enjoy a drive.
Playground Games confirmed it's working on a hotfix that was expected last week, but after running into further issues the developer has delayed it until sometime this week.

Amazon Games switches off New World's entire economy after players discover duping glitch
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/amazon-games-switches-off-new-worlds-entire-economy-after-players-discover-duping-glitch/
Over the weekend New World players discovered a glitch in Amazon Games' recently launched MMO, and not for the first time. This one allowed players to duplicate furniture among many other items, though the duping of trophies (furniture that buffs you in the world, rare and expensive) is what's got some folk extremely hot under the collar. Players could use this glitch to duplicate a particularly expensive item and sell it for free money.
