I am half regretting not buying another 3080 when the Evga queue gave me another chance. At this rate, I won't be able to buy another GPU or even another system in a long time so if my 3080 dies, I am fucked. The meme of one day being able to use RGB to mine coin will become a reality at this rate.

Friend of mine on my island here came downtown with me the other day and we somehow managed to find good condition 3060's going for around £600 each, and I'm like "dude, go for it, they ain't going for like 1k+".

It's so rare these days to find a 30 series that isn't way above MSRP prices.

What really sucks is that we have games like New World that bricked some 30 series cards, and with this current climate, those that played it and got bricked were so fucked.

I just hope yours manages to last as long, because I wouldn't want you in that situation. I'm glad I managed to remove one of my busted 1080ti fans and still last this long (since I bought the card in 2017). I'm likely going to have to hold out for the 4000 series at this point (which means I'll have skipped two freakin gens just to get a new card).

Honestly, I'd even consider getting a card even now than later because while the 4000 series is certainly coming, the situation might continue to get worse and worse and a 1080 Ti is certainly getting to that age where it could eventually die out. While getting Ampere when the 4000 series isn't too far away might not be the best idea in normal circumstances, the PC world as we know it is changing.

So I would certainly keep an eye out for a deal or maybe even get yourself in the Evga queue as they do sell 30 series cards for close to AIB MSRP. Cause the last thing you need is your 1080 Ti dying on you and needing to scramble to get a new GPU. Going in the Evga queue is free and when it's your turn and you don't want it, there's no commitment.
