Friday news, part two:

The next Vampire: The Masquerade game may spring from November's Vampire Jam

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 might well and truly be in development hell these days. But there's still plenty more stories to tell in the neck-biting setting—and IP owner World of Darkness hopes a month will be long enough for you to make a convincing pitch for the series' next game.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is coming to VR

Looks like the remastered GTA Trilogy isn't the only thing Rockstar has cooking for its classic Grand Theft Auto games. During Thursday's Facebook Connect livestream, Mark Zuckerberg announced that San Andreas is getting a VR makeover. "This new version of what I think is one of the greatest games ever made will offer players an entirely new way to experience this iconic open world in virtual reality," Zuckerberg said.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is still happening, but might not be out until 2023

Remember Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time—specifically, the remake that bubbled to the surface of Uplay in 2020? It was delayed, and then delayed again, and then fell off the radar almost completely after Ubisoft decided against even showing it off at its E3 press event in June.
That's not a great sign, especially for a game that was supposed to launch just a few months after it was announced (in January 2021) but today Ubisoft put it back on table with a gentle reminder that no, the project is not dead, and yes, it is still actively working on it.

Call of Duty: Warzone's Pacific map and new anti-cheat are coming in December

After a year and a half of sprinting, driving, and gliding across two different versions of Verdansk, Call of Duty: Warzone's next map, Caldera, is finally on the way. The WW2-themed map based on the Pacific theater is releasing alongside Warzone's new anti-cheat tool, Ricochet, when Vanguard Season One begins on Dec. 2.

Call of Duty: Warzone's overpowered Kali Sticks must be stopped
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/call-of-duty-warzones-overpowered-kali-sticks-must-be-stopped/
Call of Duty: Warzone's many, many guns are being outclassed by a pair of wooden sticks. The Kali Sticks, a melee weapon that takes up your secondary slot, at first sound like a stylish replacement for Call of Duty's standard knife attack, but these flute-shaped whacking toys are to be feared—step within their generous 3-meter range, and a few swings will kill you faster than any machine gun.

Hearthstone's 'Deadmines' mini-set lands on November 2, brings multiple parrots with it

Blizzard announced today that following a brief delay caused by the launch of the Mercenaries expansion, Hearthstone's United in Stormwind Deadmines mini-set will roll out on November 2 as part of the 21.6 patch.

The big Facebook news today is that it's changing its company name to Meta, but another bit of interesting information from the Facebook Connect Livestream is that Oculus Quest VR headsets will stop requiring Facebook accounts soon.

Sable's Stranger Update unleashes a ghastly new bike and plenty of bug fixes

I wasn't expecting Sable to get much in the way of post-launch content, never mind a Halloween update. And yet this week, developer Shedworks unleashed an eldritch new bike and costume on the deserts of Midden—though you'll have to be something of a ghost yourself to find them.
