From what I can make out it's like construction, to give an example it's like the engineering and construction industry here in the UK (using the UK as I don't know if it's the same where everyone else is), most people aren't fully employed by a company they're only contracted to do a certain task on a project such as the plumbers do the plumbing and so on. When your task is done your contract is fulfilled and you move on in most industries I'm aware of temp workers aren't really credited and you're often aware of that from the beginning for example my name won't come up if you look up who built the Shard in the UK or the thousand other workers and engineers who worked there at the time you can however have who ever was in charge give you a reference for future jobs.
The part on needing to work on 25% of the project on one hand sounds a bit much but on the other hand the are cases in the past of someone doing one small task and then going on to claim they were integral to a product, project or someone's success so I can see why something like that would be added into a contract.
