Let me be clear, this game is NOT a 9.1. I think a fair score for this would be a 70+ rating.

Its completely confusing to be how Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart has scores in the same ballpark as Kena and on user reviews its actually lower (WTF).

I guess it gets a pass on many elements because of Price/and Indie studio, but its difficult to factor in those elements in a review.

The main gripe I have with the game is that the core gameplay is bland and derivative. Everything else is quite good and almost up there with the great PS exclusives. Good score, art, animations, decent enough story, interesting world and characters, lovely ambiance etc.

This is probably a studio that will greatly benefit from a bigger company with some funding. It doesn't feel like they quite hit their mark with Kena, but im sure they would if they had a slightly bigger studio.

Down to 9.0, and will likely continue to drop.

I think though, not everyone feels this way.  

Kena Is The PS5's Best PS2 Game

Some people quite love the game, doesn't make them wrong.

Well every game will have its fans. Fair enough. I'm just trying to give a more objective view of the game.
