[DF] Deathloop PC vs PS5, Optimised Settings, Performance Testing + More

Deathloop certainly has some interesting things going for it... For better or for worse! Alex found the issue with "stuttering" and there's two kinds. One is not actual stuttering but rather poor coding that can be fixed by limiting the FPS to 60 or 120. The other one is actual stuttering that can be fixed by restarting the game.

He also compares the PS5 vs PC GPUs:

He can't compare PS5's Ray Tracing vs PC mainly due to PS5 having lower than low Ray Tracing than what's possible on PC. As usual, Nvidia leads in Ray Tracing against AMD GPUs.

The other interesting thing is how the Vram works in this game. Unlike other games where when you run out of Vram, it starts stuttering and hitching, this game doesn't actually cause stuttering or hitching but instead, streams textures slower and slightly lowers performance. I suspect that when Direct Storage arrives and gets optimized, that is how it will work. But we will see.

Techpowerup did also benchmark this game in case you are wondering how it all performs. Interestingly a 3060 Ti is able to keep up with a 6700XT.
