I wouldn't blame Sony for it, they have done practically everything in their power to amp up production. They want to sell their hardware as badly as customers want to get it. The whole tech industry is hurting for certain parts and then there's the scalpers to contend with.

This the problem with the world now. People sympathize with corporations more than their wallet. I will blame Sony and will continue to blame them. I was able to buy a $1300 LG OLED TV quite easily this year. (It also uses processor chip) Companies that want to sell their products go out of their way to make it available to the consumer.

They do not pull some lottery BS and invite you to have the opportunity to give them your money. They are basically training the consumer to accept higher prices do to "scarcity." If they wanted to really sell their PS5 to every gamer that wanted one, they could have set up an online pre-order on their website limited to one per house hold. They could have done this a couple months after they noticed the scalpers raiding their supply chain.

They don't care about you dude, its a corporation. They care about making money.
