Exploding Power Supplies: Gigabyte & Newegg Dumping Unsellable Product
50% failure rate is a pretty yikes from me. Especially as the PSU is the one component that could fry your entire PC. They also had a brand new Gigabyte 3080 in their test system which also died after 72 hours but they aren't sure whether or not it was PSU related or that the card was at fault. They replaced the 3080 with a 6900XT which crashed a bunch of times due to AMD drivers but eventually, worked just fine.
It reminds me of these times again:
