Yea I am not a fan of the 3050 Ti per say. It's better to get a 2060 if it costs similar. I think the only usefulness might be thin and light laptops? For example, last gen XPS 15 had a 1650 Ti + 4GB of Vram where as this gen has a 3050 Ti with 4GB of Vram which is a much better upgrade. But on the other hand, the current gen XPS 17 gives you 3050 Ti on the lower models or you can get a last gen XPS 17 with a 2060 Max Q for around the same price and in that case, it might be better to get a 2060 Max Q.
