Lip Syncing, 4k60fps, 3D Audio and HD Rumble can easily be added for free which most companies do anyway. That's the idea of buying brand new consoles, is to access the features you brought, its up to the company to satisfy their customers to keep you as customers, otherwise whats the point in buying a PS5 if you have to pay an additional $10 to use features you brought on their system. The fact this is a 1st party game is what baffles me the most.

But it seems people in here don't mind paying the $10 added paywall. I am just pointing it out, that its unnecessary.

You just can't help yourself down playing haptic feedback. Educate yourself

And this is Sucker Punch's stance on it

Fleming, on the other hand, shared his excitement and expectation for the next-gen console. He is “nerdily excited” about the haptic feedback in the DualSense controller.

Fleming continues:

We talked about how we really love how controllers kind of connect [you to the game], and anything that gives us more ability to give the player better tactile feedback about what’s going on I think will be a big deal. So I think for Sucker Punch, that’s a particularly interesting area, right?

Fleming isn’t the only one, either, as a few other developers have expressed similar sentiments. I imagine a feedback system like the DualSense’s could be implemented pretty well in a game with parry-based combat like Ghost of Tsushima. We’ll just have to wait and see how the folks at Sucker Punch utilize it on their inevitable PS5 title.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Sucker Punch Co-founder and Producer Brian Fleming talked about what the studio was excited about in regards to PS5 features. His big thing seemed to be the haptic feedback of the DualSense controller. While he didn’t give any specific details, Fleming said that features like that excited him because it can connect the player in physical ways to the action portrayed on-screen.

Does that sound like flipping a switch, one person's work for a couple hours to enable HD rumble?

Fact is people don't mind paying for new game play features.

And it's not a paywall, it's a choice. You don't have to pay it, you can just play it in BC mode without, or just play it on ps4. I have no clue why you are so set against new game play features. Sure they could do something simple for free, well implemented haptic feedback takes a lot more work. And I'm only more excited now after reading how excited Sucker Punch is about the haptic feedback. I always play with the volume low late at night, so more feedback from the controller instead of sound cues is very welcome.
