Yeah monitors are getting decent now. So long as you choose something that fits your needs and use purposes. Things like HDR 600/1000+ hitting mid to high end are nice additions and really do enhance the experience. Heck, even lower end monitors come with HDR400 (not a huge upgrade mind) and 144hz standard now. And with 4K / high refresh rate monitors coming in strong, it looks like a good time to invest if you need a new one.

For me my endgame with would be a super fast 4K monitor with a crap load of mini-LED's and the latest specs. Sadly, we're not there yet and its prohibitively expensive atm with a huge premium over traditional edge lit ones on top of quirks of first gen releases and omissions. Will be putting my money towards one once all kinks are ironed out and reaches the sub £1000 point. Or I could look into a 42" OLED TV.. but yeah if only they made them smol lol.
