The Wednesday news, part two:

Last month, RomUniverse owner Matthew Storman found himself facing a $2.15 million fine after Nintendo hit out with a copyright infringement lawsuit. Despite this, he plans to bring his website back online—and naturally, Nintendo is none-too-happy about it.

Streets of Rage 4's first major DLC, Mr. X's Nightmare, will launch on July 15 across Steam, GOG, and the Windows Store, and has a swish new trailer to celebrate. Most notable about this expansion is that it adds a Survival mode: endless waves of increasingly tough foes, with your fighters earning stackable perks the longer you stay alive. As can be seen above, this can lead to some ludicrous offensive potential.
Apex Legends hackers 'achieved nothing of value,' Respawn dev says
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/apex-legends-hackers-achieved-nothing-of-value-respawn-dev-says/
Hackers launched an attack against Apex Legends over the past weekend, replacing server playlists with a message about the state of Titanfall underneath the savetitanfall.com URL: "TF1 is being attacked so is Apex." The playlist takeover made Apex's modes completely unplayable for many players until Respawn took back control later in the day. Other players, who presumably could still play the game during the attack, also reported a post-match popup message telling them to "visit and repost savetitanfall.com."

Solasta: Crown of the Magister left Early Access on May 27, and the turn-based RPG based on D&D's fifth edition rules has been quite well-received, with 90% positive user reviews on Steam. Developers Tactical Adventures are currently working on Solasta's first major update, which will add an Iron Man difficulty mode and the sorcerer class (which was a stretch goal from its Kickstarter), and is planned to go live on July 13.

WoW's Sanctum of Domination raid went live today, climaxing with a showdown against Sylvanas Windrunner and the mysterious Jailer she's been serving. This has been the endpoint for World of Warcraft's Shadowlands expansion, and was eagerly anticipated. Now it's been beaten, and the climactic cinematic has been revealed.

Skateboarding sim Session just added two new maps to stomp around, along with all the tools you'd need to film the perfect video part.
Dropping in last night, update 0.0.0.28 brings a load of new content to the early access skater. The headline addition is two new maps—the first of which adds more iconic New York spots with the storied Black Hubbas and Courthouse Drop, while the second lets you explore new spots under (and above) the Highline Bridge.
Counter-Strike's latest patch says don't cheat please
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/counter-strikes-latest-patch-says-dont-cheat-please/
You've got to love the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive developers. Bemoaned by fans for a lack of communication, never fixing the 'right' things, and seemingly ignoring the community's repeated requests for things like higher tick servers, Valve's crack team nevertheless stick their heads over the parapet every few months and throw us a bone. At which point, everyone complains that said bone lacks the all-important marrow, it's the wrong type of bone, and we didn't ask for a god damn bone anyway Gaben pls.
Minecraft is now an R-rated game in South Korea
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/minecraft-is-now-an-r-rated-game-in-south-korea/
Minecraft, the incredibly kid-friendly sandbox game, has essentially been slapped with an adults-only age rating in South Korea.
The bizarre restriction comes down to the country's "Cinderella law," which pulls the plug on any child or teen hoping to play games with their mates into the early hours of the morning. The law's been in place since 2011 and means anyone under the age of 16 is prohibited from playing online videogames between midnight and 6 AM (thanks, GamesIndustry.biz).

The next major League of Legends event, Sentinels of the Light, starts July 8th, and introduces the new champion Akshan alongside a bunch of skins themed around the larger Ruination of Runeterra storyline. And as part of this, Riot is for the first time 'collaborating' with itself, by having a bunch of crossover items in a new Valorant update.
Guild Wars 2's best boss battle returns next week after a 7 year absence

In the early days of Guild Wars 2, ArenaNet trialled a series of updates that in many ways predicted the live service craze of today. The first season of what it called the 'Living World' featured a series of episodes that temporarily changed established maps in service of the current plot. In the dramatic finale to the season, the main city hub of Lion's Arch was transformed into a battlezone that players had to fight to save—the city later being completely redesigned following its destruction.
