And we are going full circle everyone. Black Mesa is a mod that aimed to remake the original Half-Life in Source Engine. And now, there is a mod for Half-Life GoldSource that aims to demake Black Mesa. So basically, a… demake of a remake.
Now obviously the team behind it will be using some techniques that weren’t possible in the original Half-Life. For instance, Black Mesa: Classic will have dynamic lighting, reflections, shadows, visual effects, extended engine limits and extended draw distance. However, it will keep the same art style as the original Half Life.

Often times I think to myself how much I would appreciate native widescreen support in beloved retro titles. One no longer has to lust over the concept for Super Mario World with the recently released Super Mario Widescreen project.
Rom hacker Vitor Vilela released his project with 16:9 support and it’s available via GitHub, with plans for more aspect ratios like 21:9 planned.

In May 2021, we informed you about a fan remake of Resident Evil Code Veronica in Unity Engine. And today, we are happy to report that its demo is available for download.
This fan remake of Resident Evil Code Veronica features 3D environments and is a third-person shooter. The remake aims to retain the style of the original game. Its final version – if it ever happens – will feature reimagined versions of all maps.
Resident Evil Code Veronica Remake will feature two modes; Remake and Classic. The Remake Mode will feature a third-person camera and faithful expanded scenarios. On the other hand, the Classic Mode will have fixed camera angles like the original game.

Geralt was among the videogame dads celebrating Father's Day on the internet, and deservedly so. But if you think Ciri's adoptive father deserves more than just a tweet in recognition of his efforts, here's the mod for you: Flannel Shirts Standalone DLC.
This collection of checked shirts in a variety of colors will make Geralt look like a lumberjack, or at least a Gen X dad who still owns a bunch of Soundgarden albums. It adds five shirts to merchants in Novigrad, Velen, and Skellige, as well as a special "limited edition" samurai flannel in honor of Cyberpunk 2077. Modder 18mic11 suggests pairing that with the Black Unicorn Katana mod so that Geralt can not only wield an appropriate weapon for a cyberpunk fan, but pair it with the perfect accessory—since said mod also comes with a pair of aviator glasses.

Experiment 101 has released patch 1.5 for Biomutant. According to the team, this patch increases level cap from 50 to 100. Moreover, it packs a number of fixes and tweaks in order to improve the looting experience.

Yesterday, we informed you about the PC version of Madden NFL 22 being based on the old-gen version. And, according to EA Sports, the development team is too focused on the next-gen consoles and cannot upgrade the PC version right now.
In short, the PC version is an afterthought and nothing more. EA claims that it’s exploring the possibility of bringing the next-gen version on PC. However, its development team is currently working primarily on the next-gen consoles.
