Nintendo's presentation was alright.

There's a lot of games that I'm glad exist, but only one that I'm truly hyped for.

We'll start with that one. Metroid Dread is real and coming sooner than I expected. The art looked a bit meh at first, but watching a bit of the treehouse, it looks better. I think Mercurysteam did a great job with Samus Returns, so reasonably hyped for this.

On the other side, not thrilled with Kazuya for Smash. That's purely personal, as I just never played much Tekken. But there are other characters whose games I haven't played, and at least they look fun to use. Kazuya really didn't look fun to me.

Mario Party fully online is fun. I almost bought "top 100" on impulse the other day and I'm glad I didn't because they're going back to that well. Still, I like Mario Party and Princess Peach's cake makes me nostaligiac. Although I feel like this would have been more reasonable as an expansion pack, especially if it's only going to be 5 boards.

I also almost bought Wario Ware Gold (was deciding between that and top 100 and wound up with neither) and I'm looking forward to this one too. Perfect fit for the Switch's hardware.

Mario and Rabbids 2 is a sequel to one of the Switch's best titles. Was revealed at Ubi's conference, but no need to discount it on a technicality.

Breath of the Wild 2's trailer didn't really do it for me. Not that I think it will be any less than awesome, but I really didn't get a sense of how this game would really evolve the formula.

Advance Wars' title "reboot camp" makes it sound like there is going to be more on the horizon, and I really like the series so that's great. But... replaying though the first two games doesn't get me super psyched.

And those are the only things I'm really excited for. Other things piqued my interest like Shin Megami 5 and ummmm... dagamoprapa... errrr... the one like Phoenix Wright but with demons, but those are things I'm kind of interested in not "shut up and take my money" kind of things.

For your normal everyday direct this would have been great. Considering it's E3 and how slow Nintendo's release schedule has been, I was hoping for a bit more. It was just good.
