I disagree, I think Dashboard could used some update. It was clearly design for both SD 4:3 and HD and it can used some mid-life refresher. It's a pain in the butt to navigate now that there are so much contents. My wife could never find the arcade games she want to play with and girls are usually not the type that mug around the interface. If it's not staring at them in the face they usually won't click on it.
Less advertisement space would be good also. I like the guy basic design it can used some tighten up but I think he got the basic down. Make it navigate somewhat like website and that would be intuitive for almost everyone. I also like his idea of user rating (or instead of that they can do most popular if they don't want peple to stack the vote) ie, the game get rate on how often it get play and conversion (ie from demo to full game).
