Is Intel Back? Intel Core i7-11800H Review, Tiger Lake H45 is Here

Now normally I don't do hardware unboxed but I as they are the only reviewer that bothered to do some gaming benchmarks + i7 instead of the i9 that no one should buy... I was curious enough.

TLDW: Ryzen beats Intel in Productivity while Intel matches or beats Ryzen in gaming. The power scaling is also interesting. At lower power state, Ryzen out performs Intel by quite a notable margin but Intel scales better with higher power to performance than Ryzen. I will be curious to see how the battery life is and how Intel does when more gaming benches are out. The good news is Intel 11th gen deliveries 30% more performance than last gen so it will be interesting to see how Alder Lake S does.

Why Legion 5 Pro Underperforms Explained (And How To Fix!)

Legion 5 Pro with Ryzen seems to be under performing against other Ryzen laptops with similar configuration. The reason? The RAM! While on paper it has the same specs as every other Ryzen laptops in it's category, for some reason, if you swapped out the RAM with a more reputable brand... Boom, it now performs like every other laptop in it's class. We do know Ryzen is very sensitive to RAM and GN has done a number of tests where even a lower tier RAM can out perform a higher tier RAM with Ryzen if you don't pick the correct Memory. Still, you would think Lenovo would double check their benchmarks before putting this up for sale... Unless of course, this is a way for them to up sell you on their Legion 7...
