Good post, but the Wii is surposed to be easily accesible to anyone, which means it's surposed to do what we want it to do, I know what you mean when you say you must read the instruction book and move the controller exactly how it is intended, but however, On Call of Duty 3 on the Wii where you have to push the guy off of you with your gun, that is the most utter piece of retarded stupid shit I have ever played on the Wii. |
Yeah I wasn't very clear there. I know that's the goal and for the games with a casual appeal that's the way it is usually. The Wii Sports games are simple motions that when you do them you get the results you want. Same with Excite Truck, Wii Play, and Wario War. That was one general point, that there's no reason for that guy to be getting beat by the 4 year old. My other point that didn't get seperated as much and was bit off topic is that I've found the controls really open up games like Madden, the Godfather, and the Bigs to a much greater level of control finesse if you spend the time practising. It essentially allows uber casual or uber hard core in a way. Something EA is taking advantage of with seperate normal and family modes in its sports games on the Wii. As an even more off topic aside I do wish they would start offering the option to use the classic controller in games, I don't exactly like having to ice down my arm after playing the Bigs for a while.
