Yea but there should be a distinction between official and unofficial support. We have seen the official support slides from AMD which clearly states what they do and they don't support. If the motherboard vendors want to support their older platforms, AMD should leave them to their own devices since the people that will be looking deeper into unofficial support are enthusiasts that know what they are getting into.

Yes and no. I agree with you that if some AIBs want to go the extra mile and provide some of their products with better features, both AMD and also Intel should let them. after all, if it doesn't work or there's a problem, it's the AIBs fault.

But nowadays it's easy for people that aren't enthusiasts to find out about these features through a simple Google search, only to end with incomplete information or without fully understanding what they found.

It's not a clear black or white situation here.
