I'll cross quote this here, unbelievable.
We have half free healthcare here (Canada). While doctor's visits and ER are free, medication is not. My wife is currently on $300 a month of life saving blood pressure meds. There is medication that might actually help her solve the root of the problem (rare underlying condition), but it's $250 a pill, to be taken daily, 0ver 90K per year. It's not made of diamond dust, made of patents.
