I don't know how you can safely assume the insane value of 1st party titles, since what we got so far, and still have now, haven't much that much of value.

The greatest AAA title currently produced by XBS is Flight Simulator, and Xbox users are still waiting for a year to be ported to Xbox consoles.

So yeah, all Xbox Game Studios day one*

*except the really great ones that only run on high end pc that need porting job to do which can take a year

And I love how a merely okay-ish game such as Outriders become all of a sudden a great AAA value for Game Pass.

Seems to me its more of a deal breaker to you the games that push the service forward wich will be the day and day first party exclusives. And the biggest problem there is MS's line up has been pretty weak and still seems weak going forward.

Now if MS are charging $120 a year for this sub and their contribution is so piss poor, the lowest grade and amount of first party content in gaming history, what kind of price would Nintendo or Sony need to charge? For a gamepass owners to break even all they need is to play more than 2 full price games a year. But thats easy for MS as they have years where the output is literally zero. all they would need to add is third party deals on old games or games like outriders that are not good. Now for Sony and Nintendo that do release on average like 4 or more Big budget games, that $120 would bankrupt them immediately. The price would need to be higher and suddenly the value offer would disappear.

Thank you, your point makes total sense.
