AMD 4700S might be XBOX Series X|S APU for PCs

We have seen something similar happen with the xbox one SoC where you can buy one from China, install windows on it and use it normally. Now the interesting thing with this one is that the iGPU that's in the Series X is disabled as most likely, the manufacturer of the Series X/S are selling yields that had flaws in them like the iGPUs not working properly. So instead, you get a RX550 but there is a pci-e slot. It also doesn't have any ram slots however the CPU uses 16GB of GDDR6. That's right, GDDR6. Not DDR4 but GDDR6!

But most importantly, we get benchmarks of how the new console cpus stack up against PC. Now this is clocked at 4 ghz instead of 3.8 but still.

Quite impressive! Hopefully GN or something buys this and does some extensive testing!

The first mass-produced DDR5 memory has succesfully completed its testing phase

Reusing broken Series X's thats pretty cool. Would cut ewaste and these machines would make a great low cost mini PC/HTPC's. Shame about the disabled iGPU and RX550.

Nice. Yeah that's a great board, I would probably invest in something like that if I went high end CPU. In the end you get what you pay for usually when it comes to motherboards. But yeah, good shout and not doing gen 1 launches. Things are never stable on the first runs; motherboards usually are the main culprits here. Plus RAM is usually a sidegrade or even downgrade from current high end RAM because the first batches of new DDR usually have high latency.
