So far the decision I have come to is that you really cannot go without either. I guess the best way to sum it up is Wii games are about fun, PS3 games about expericance. I really never get that Whoa! feeling playing the Wii like I did playing COD4 all yesterday, but when I play the Wii I find myself with a big grin on my face.
I guess if I had to have 1 I would choose the Wii, and that is because I value great multiplayer(non-online) most.
But still, if you are a gamer it is hard to go Wii only, at least right now.

Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
