The news, part two:

Oxenfree is finally getting a sequel, coming this fall
https://www.pcgamer.com/oxenfree-is-finally-getting-a-sequel-coming-this-fall/
Oxenfree is a supernatural adventure about a group of teenagers who disturb an ancient, mysterious force on a remote island. It's a cliche setup for sure, but the game makes great use of it—we called Oxenfree "a beautiful story-driven adventure game with a compelling story and great characters, set on an island filled with intriguing mysteries" when it came out in early 2016. Later this year, we'll finally get a sequel.

https://www.pcgamer.com/world-of-warcrafts-91-update-is-finally-available-on-beta-servers/
World of Warcraft's 9.1 Chains of Domination update, the first big one since Shadowlands released back in November, is still likely months away. But if you're exceptionally curious about what it'll add, there's now an early beta version available on WoW's public test servers.

https://www.pcgamer.com/mojang-cuts-minecraft-caves-and-cliffs-in-two-delays-half-of-it-until-the-end-of-the-year/
The big Minecraft Caves & Cliffs update that was expected to be out this summer has been delayed—partially, at least. Given the scale of the project, which Mojang said is "the most ambitious" update for Minecraft it has ever developed, it's decided to split the update into two parts, and hold the second part back until the holidays.

https://www.pcgamer.com/assassins-creed-valhallas-first-expansion-is-delayed-by-a-couple-of-weeks/
In March, Ubisoft announced that Assassin's Creed Valhalla's first major expansion, Wrath of the Druids, would be out on April 29. Today, however, Ubisoft pushed the launch back by two weeks so it can "deliver a more refined experience."

Rainbow Six Siege's match replay tool is a cheater's worst nightmare
https://www.pcgamer.com/rainbow-six-sieges-match-replay-tool-is-a-cheaters-worst-nightmare/
For the past five years, Rainbow Six Siege has been the only game that gets me paranoid about cheaters. It's not something that comes up in every match I play, but when I do see something suspicious from an enemy or teammate, it's all I can think about. I spend the rest of the match looking for signs, examining their profile, and deliberating on whether or not I should report them.

Konami is reviving an old 8-bit series, but it’s not Castlevania
https://www.pcgamer.com/konami-is-reviving-an-old-8-bit-series-but-its-not-castlevania/
While the world waits for a new Castlevania or Silent Hill, Konami has other plans. Today it announced GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon, a 2D Metroidvania roguelite with a Ukiyo-e inspired art style. It’s a revival of a 1987 NES platformer that was never released outside of Japan, and it’s not exactly the first series you’d expect a publisher to revisit.

Sony invests another $200M into Epic's 'vision for the metaverse'
https://www.pcgamer.com/sony-invests-another-dollar200m-into-epics-vision-for-the-metaverse/
Unreal Engine and Fortnite maker Epic Games is valued at $28.7 billion. That's a lot of money for, say, me, but compared to Apple it's not that much money. Added up, all of the shares of Apple's stock are currently worth over $2 trillion.
There's room for Epic to grow, in other words, and the company (which isn't publicly traded like Apple) just received another $1 billion in funds to help with that growth. $200 million of that total came from Sony, which previously invested $250 million into Epic in July of last year. Epic CEO Tim Sweeney remains the controlling Epic Games shareholder following this investment.

Skate-platformer OlliOlli goes 2.5D in OlliOlli World
https://www.pcgamer.com/skate-platformer-olliolli-goes-25d-in-olliolli-world/
The original OlliOlli was a sidescrolling version of Tony Hawk that existed mainly to punish your analogue stick and fingers for their many and various sins. Developer Roll7 followed it with OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood in 2015, and now announce a third game in the series, called OlliOlli World.

Guild Wars players uncover a sword hidden in the game for eight years
https://www.pcgamer.com/guild-wars-players-uncover-a-sword-hidden-in-the-game-for-eight-years/
A blade that had remained hidden in the original Guild Wars for eight years was finally discovered by sleuthing fans earlier this week.
Silver Edge, a blade named after one of the game's more prolific Wiki contributors, would have likely remained undiscovered if not for a tease from former ArenaNet developer Matthew Moore. Last week, Moore responded to ex-Vlambeer developer JW Nijman's call for interesting easter eggs by sharing one of his own—along with a crumb of a clue to give players a long-overdue starting point.

Curse Of The Dead Gods loses its head with a Dead Cells crossover update
https://www.pcgamer.com/curse-of-the-dead-gods-loses-its-head-with-a-dead-cells-crossover-update/
Both are stylish action roguelikes. Both have "Dead" in the name. So why not slam Curse Of The Dead Gods and Dead Cells together, developer Passtech Game asks with the appropriately named (and free) Curse Of The Dead Cells update.

Cyberpunk 2077 dataminer discovers unused quest files
https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-dataminer-discovers-unused-quest-files/
A Cyberpunk 2077 dataminer has discovered new files referencing unreleased street story quests, potentially pointing towards future DLC.
Speaking to Eurogamer, modder romulus_is_here said the files appeared after the massive 1.2 patch. Cyberpunk's main quests are usually split into three categories—prologue, part one and epilogue—which are numbered from q000 to q204. But there are now some quests numbered q301, outside of the usual scope.

Shadow Man: Remastered is out today, so enjoy this weird launch trailer
https://www.pcgamer.com/shadow-man-remastered-is-out-today-so-heres-a-weird-launch-trailer/
Shadow Man was originally released in 1999 for the Nintendo 64, PlayStation, Dreamcast, and PC. I didn't play it back then, and the excited reaction to last year's PC Gaming Show announcement that Nightdive is bringing it back caught me a little by surprise. But after watching today's Shadow Man: Remastered launch trailer, I am intrigued.
