3DS or Vita?

I mean if Wii U is using a GPU from 2008 and a CPU from 2000 what in the world would make Nintendo of 2010 use a more modern chipset for 3DS from 2009 as one claims than their flagship console? lol.

Switch uses a chip that was 2 years old when it launched and that was the most modern thing they used relative to release since launching the Gamecube.
