There are a few games I feel this way about, like Ori and the Blind Forest or Persona 5, where they got a "definitive" edition I feel isn't necessarily better than the original.

But yeah, good luck trying to tell gamers that more content isn't always better.

There's quite a few games that make me feel this way. One of the obvious examples is FF7R, I beat it recently. I think I prefer the original in every way except the visuals obviously

Sometimes something short and sweet is better than something that's overly long and drawn out.
