This is west Texas close to the Midland Odessa area.  The climate is semiarid/desert.  The land is flat.  Probably one of the ugliest places I've ever lived.  I can't wait to get away to somewhere more wet and green.  Work and money brought me here.

This is what it looks like outside the city limits in every direction for 30 miles to the next closest town and 65 miles to the closest town to the east. When we are allowed to water our yards we get some green in town.  We also plant our own trees or we wouldn't have any.  

We have some of the worst wind gusts up to 100 mph and dust storms with zero visibility.

Here is a drone picture from above the town.  Population is about 13,000.

There isn't anything to do here.  This is a place you come to, to try and get rich, and then leave to retire elsewhere.
