AMD's Zen3 lineup leaves some very big holes. There's no 5700 to have a lower priced 8 core chip and there's still no sign of anything below the 5600X despite the five months that have passed since those processors launched. If Intel can benefit from that, then so be it, even if it's ironic to see Intel as the budget friendly option.
Yeah, that's a big oversight from their part, tho I doubt there will be many complains about it. Those that care about gaming use a GPU, and those that don't won't even notice because their PC will still work fine without the drivers. But can you imagine if they do someting like this with their GPUs? "Yeah, we're launching these new GPUs that you can buy now... but you won't be able to get most of them for some time because we still haven't finished the drivers for them. Sorry!" |
Yea, I think I am just annoyed that AMD has increased price so significantly. Like yes their, cpus are now quite good and they have every right to increase the price accordingly. But the 3700x was $329 vs 5800x is $449. That's $120 increase in MSRP. Now technically the 3800x was $400 but we all knew that pricing and cpu was nonsense since the 3700x was effectively the same cpu. Not to mention the fact that Intel will sell you a 8 core 16 threaded 10th gen i7 for the price of the 5600x.
We will see now the new CEO does once his changes gets implemented but it will be a facepalm moment if I am gonna have to cheer for Intel to defeat AMD's greed.
And yea lol. They can't make mistakes like this when they release their new GPUs cause first impressions will count heavily when launching a new product.
