Yea I don't think they will release a new 6 core cpu to compete with the i5 per say. AMD's pricing on both their CPU and GPU has been okaysh to meh. Imo, only the 5900x/5950x and the 6800XT have good MSRP. The rest of AMD's line up is a bit out of wack for the performance and features they deliver. If Intel was more like Nvidia instead of being idiots, they would take advantage of AMD's wonky pricing since they have the benefit of having their own fabs and still reusing 14nm. Instead, they are coming out with some CPUs (i7 and i9) that have even worse pricing than some of AMD's cpus.

But luckily in the mid to low end, Intel seems to know what they are doing and AMD's new trend of wonky pricing will continue. I think they will release a quad core part for $200 and call it a day sadly. Least in the normal DIY market. It will make Intel's i5 look extremely good for budget pcs.

AMD's Zen3 lineup leaves some very big holes. There's no 5700 to have a lower priced 8 core chip and there's still no sign of anything below the 5600X despite the five months that have passed since those processors launched.

If Intel can benefit from that, then so be it, even if it's ironic to see Intel as the budget friendly option.

Yeah, that's a big oversight from their part, tho I doubt there will be many complains about it. Those that care about gaming use a GPU, and those that don't won't even notice because their PC will still work fine without the drivers.

But can you imagine if they do someting like this with their GPUs? "Yeah, we're launching these new GPUs that you can buy now... but you won't be able to get most of them for some time because we still haven't finished the drivers for them. Sorry!"

When gaming monitor manufacturers don't bother to include some key gaming related features... Facepalm...

The only "gaming" aspect of most of these monitors is the extra cost they charge us for them. The features are secondary.
