I dunno. I think it would be based on sexual attraction wouldn't it?

I know some people who are bi but only have relationships with one or the other. And people who have sex and never seem to form emotional bonds. If someone likes sex with the same gender, I'd say they're gay even if they don't love them.

I know I've never developed any romantic feelings for other guys but have fantasized about same gender sex. Of course fantasies are far different from actually doing it. Experiments in my early twenties were wholly unsatisfying. And while I consider myself to be autosexual as well, I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with myself.

Anyway some of what excites me goes back to very early sexual experiences, intended sexual or not. It is very true that your first encounters have a huge influence on how your sexual desires develop. However I don't think it has any influence on how your romantic feelings develop. You can't make someone gay or not gay, but you can sure mess up (or broaden) their sexual desires.
