Neogaf has improved drastically since all the trash left it. Don't know if it's good, but it's certainly better.

Visiting NeoGAF's Politics forum, I can imagine why someone like yourself would feel that way, considering that this is almost exclusively a list of topics prioritized by conservatives in general across the internet. Clicking on any given topic and looking at the up-vote counts that various sorts of posts receive therein confirms the reality of a heavy, heavy right-leaning opinion skew. The prevailing view there, for example, is that Trump impeachment trial is a "nothing burger" 'cause I mean nothing happened on January 6th, that Marjorie Taylor Greene is a more reasonable person than Joe Biden, that white privilege is totally made up because one random black guy on YouTube says so and it makes me feel better about myself, etc.

That's not to say that I couldn't necessarily get along as a moderate leftist in such an environment, as, matter-of-factly, I actually agree with the prevailing views I'm seeing on many topics there (such as...and...and...). My concern here would be how this heavy political skew might impact what games I'm allowed and not permitted to enjoy or discuss with anything other than disdain. I would be concerned about the potential consequences of, for example, saying anything good about The Last of Us Part II in such an environment. I would also be very seriously concerned about possibility of sexual harassment given that the forum owner/administrator seems to have an...interesting personal history in that regard and acts like it too by banning users for discussing sexual harassment in general.

I was refering more to the fact that you aren't going to get banned over there for having a different view compared to the majority of users there. I mean, I do agree that their political view does favor them in my opinion, but compared to places like Resetera, in which you would get banned for just coghing the wrong way, it *seems*(and I emphasize on the seems) that you are free to post whatever you want, as long as you don"t break any rules.

Of course that, by being more pro left and everything that entails with it, you might have a harder time there, but at least you wont be silenced and kicked out because of that.

But like most people have said here already, there doesn't really seem that there is somehwre else quite like VGC, in which you have a plentora of different people from different places, and things are mostly respectful, outside of a user or other( or during elections. While not as ugly as other places, it was still a shitshow over here in my opinion).

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
