TruckOSaurus said: It seems Nintendo can't do anything right. They release 3D Collection without anything new added and people complain it should have had extra content. Now, they release 3D World with what looks like a good amount of new content, we get complaints about how the extras should have been standalone DLC. |
Gaming community is big and there will be necessarely an amount of unsatisfied people for one reason or another despite the efforts put by the developers.
Those who think that a port(in general) needs extra content to be valuable enough to be bought are right and those who think that the additionnal content needs to be sold seperately cauz they experienced the ported game and are only interested in spending money on the new content alone , are right also. Those who are claiming that the game should have never been ported and asking for sequels are right too. And finally Nintendo are right when thinking that more people should enjoy the quality of their product that almost no one experienced on their previous console, so they gave it another chance to exploit its potential to the fullest.
So you see, those are 4 perspectives and all of them can't be rejected. I personally belong to the ones that can't stop barking against ports (most of them were lazy work), Yet I see that nintendo did a balanced choice (and a good one) with 3DWorld by providing a port with some "heavy" new content (Heavy is another reason why people are now asking for it to be a DLC).
