The EU are mad that UK pressured Astra-Zeneca, to massively scale down how many they where selling to the EU.

EU had a deal with AZ, to deliver 131m dosses of it.
AZ turned down that number, from 131m down to 30m.

Meanwhile AZ is drastically increaseing how many dosses its going to sell to the UK.

Do you get the issue now?

AZ are chooseing to break deals with the EU, so it can instead give more to the UK.

Like if have a deal to sell 131m by x time.
And get told, sorry we have to scale that down by 100m  (you can only get 31m).
Meanwhile EU notices the UK suddenly get sold 100m more (which were likely the doses ment to go to EU).

Now somehow, the UK people in this thread, are spinning this as "EU is evil" ?

UK gov, pressured them, into breaking their word/deal with EU to deliver vaccines.
EU is mad, because money is paid, and a deal is a deal.
Being told, you can just wait (we re giveing more to the UK first) wasnt in the deal.

You know whats happend?
EU has blocked drugs used to treat covid patients, going into the UK.
Tit for tat.

A massive legal battle is gonna play out because of this.
UK started this. It doesnt reflect well on the EU, to return fire.
That said, EU cant just stand watching as UK screws over the EU.

#VaccineWars

Its gonna happend, if 1 country starts screwing over others, its gonna start the ball rolling.
EU now keeping a close eye on Pfizer vaccine, to make sure others arnt trying to screw them over like the UK just did.

It's you that doesn't get it.

Oxford partnered with AZ on condition we get 100m doses first and the Gov funded it immediately. That was in April 2020.

If AZ didn't agree then guess what? Another company would have been chosen instead.

When did the EU finalise its order with AZ?

You need to source your false accusations instead of naively believing your failed politicians.

"Gallina, shaken by the move, dived into the customs records to find evidence that AstraZeneca had shipped EU-produced doses to the UK – but without success."
