Do the refurbs come from MS?

I know GameStop refurbishes consoles themselves (though I'm pretty sure we don't refurbish 360s any longer).

we dont know now do we. i'm guessing its a replacement unit for a rodded one. some guy musta sold his replacement and got a newer model or something.
