I can't tell if you trolling me or not, but let's just ignore the PS5 and focus on the PC result. "while RTX 3070 is just 8.6 per cent faster.... RX 6800 XT's result to be off-pace, yet it delivered just 29.4 per cent of extra performance." https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2021-call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-pc-vs-ps5 This put the 6800xt around ~19% faster than geforce 3070, which is almost equal in the rtx performance. Ampere has 5% rtx performance advantage here if my math is correct and based on gaming benchmark from techpowerup (4k resolution). |
Yes... Once you turned enough Ray Tracing settings down or off, Ampere's Ray Tracing advantage goes away cause... There isn't enough Ray Tracing effects to Tax Ampere's RT cores to show case it's advantages... This isn't a good Ray Tracing PC comparison because of all the Ray Tracing affects DF needed to turn down/off to match ps5's graphical settings...
I don't even know what you are trying to get at... Like are you trying to say that once you turn enough Ray Tracing settings down/off, Ampere's Ray Tracing advantage goes away? Cause no duh it does. Cause at that point, it's almost a Raster benchmark rather than a Ray Tracing benchmark, especially when it's just RT Shadows and RT AO which are the most basic forms of Ray Tracing and on top of that, DF turns RT AO off and RT shadows to medium. Not even Ultra...
