That chart really puts things in perspective. For the past 25 years the only other system to come close to dominating this much was the PS1. And even then PS1 only has 4/19 of the top weeks while Switch has 15/19 of the top weeks.
The only other system that can truly be compared to the Switch in Japan is the Famicom. Of course one reason the Famicom dominated so much was that it was Japan's first console.
