"The Core i7-11700K is an 8-core and 16-thread CPU, similarly to 10700K. The clock speeds actually appear to be lower (3.6 GHz/5.0 GHz) compared to Comet Lake (3.8 GHz/5.1 GHz), however, that did not prevent the CPU from being 34% and 19% faster in single and multi-core benchmark."
Say what you will about Intel but that's crazy uplift in performance using the same 14nm node. I am almost tempted to return my Dark Hero and wait for Rocket Lake since I still don't have a cpu yet.
