It's only a political message if you have an extreme right wing "capitalism and america and perfect and divine in all ways" sort of mentality. I'm looking around at reviews and comments around the intarwebs now, and pretty much any complaints I'm finding of it being political are people that are screaming it's "the evil hollywood jewish liberals trying to poison the minds of todays youth with their 'politically correct' save the earth garbage". That's almost a direct quote, it's more of two quotes combined.
