A story is more than just a concept Montana, it's how it's told. I could do my own version of "For Whom The Bell Tolls" but some how I doubt mine would be as good. Narrative is more than just story as well. And though I haven't played the game I can bet it only sticks the the movie a little bit. I seriously doubt the game uses subtle physical cues to generate emotion in the player, or that it goes for a minimalistic approach to the story telling as a purposeful device to let the player involve themselves while drawing them out with well crafted symbolism, a spot on soundtrack, and carefully designed and directed visually stages.
