Oh man, this thread got interesting since the last time I checked in. The idea of gamepass having a negative effect on 3rd party content for Xbox reminds me of the GameCube's "3rd party problem". People used to argue that Gamecube didn't get many 3rd party games because publishers knew that Nintendo fans only bought Nintendo games. The new version of this argument is that publishers know that Xbox fans don't buy games. They just wait for Gamepass releases.

The thing is that Gamecube didn't really have that big of a 3rd party problem. And if it did, then the OG Xbox had that issue as well. I mean, the only really big 3rd party multiplat games that Gamecube never got  were Psychonauts, MGS2, Mercenaries, The Warriors, Hitman 2, Silent Hill 2, Indigo Prophecy, Def Jam, Psy-Ops, Baldur's Gate DA, Fight Night Round 3, TimeSplitters Future Perfect, Need for Speed Underground, Star Wars Battlefront I and II, Metal Arms, Tomb Raider Legend, and Battlefield II.

Wait... that's a lot of games. And I skipped over the multiple racing games. Damn. I think GC had a 3rd party problem you guys...

This does not bode well for Series X/S.
